July was an eventful month for the entire construction industry, to say the least. On the 19th the NSW government introduced new restrictions effective from the 19th which put a stop work order on all construction works across the Greater Sydney area for 2 weeks. We made safe our sites and locked up for the next 2 weeks.
In the first half of the month we did however reach some key milestones;
In Neutral Bay, we started off preliminary works on the site, including the demolition of the existing structure. The team from Earthworx was engaged to pull down the residence and begin clearing the land for excavation.
Up at Dee Why on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the team successfully reached the practical completion level! The Rosina apartments is a stunning development, made up of 16 Units above a double basement. A full feature of this project will be coming soon, stay tuned.
Our luxury residential division was making excellent progress on the home we’re currently building in Mosman, with the project being ahead of the construction program we remain still on track for all deliverables, even with the lockdown in place.
The Bankstown site was charging ahead, with the structure almost completely erected however seeing as the Canterbury-Bankstown LGA was one of the most heavily affected all works have been halted there for the immediate future aswell.
We’ll be back on track and ready to go again after this 2 week period, for the time being, we hope you’re all staying safe.
