The beginning of the month of August still fell under the shadow of the construction lockdown. Unfortunately the 2 week period didn’t end without lingering restrictions; Construction would be allowed to resume in a reduced capacity, with spatial restrictions and people living in the heavily affected LGA’s would not be allowed to leave their homes for non-essential work.
This meant that unfortunately our Bankstown site would have to remain shut as it was in an area of concern so no work could resume there.
Neutral Bay works started up once again in the back end of the month once we were legally permitted to, with stricter and more extensive Covid Safety Plans put in place by our Covid Marshall to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and subcontractors.
Thankfully no further work had to be completed at Dee Why and we were awarded the Occupation Certificate for the Rosina development. We’re extremely proud of Tony, Steffan and their team who handed over this luxury development on time, on budget and to an extremely high level of client satisfaction. Successfully delivering this major development in the the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is a testament to the hardwork, dedication and collaboration of the team, including the numerous subcontractors and consultants that made this milestone possible.
Preliminary works have also now begun in St Ives where we were engaged on a Design and Construct contract to develop a seniors living community, housing seven luxurious units.
Stay safe Sydney!
